On-campus finalist visits
Finalists are being invited to campus for two days. The goals of these on-campus visits are: 1) to give members of the campus community the opportunity to meet each finalist; 2) to provide the opportunity for community members to ask questions; and 3) to engage in productive conversation and recruitment of each finalist. These visits provide us the opportunity to showcase the wonderful community that is the University of Richmond. We welcome your participation in these conversations, your assistance in recruiting the candidates to Richmond, and your feedback on the candidates with whom you meet.
Presentation & Question/Answer Sessions Open to the University of Richmond Community
Each candidate will deliver a 20-minute presentation on the following:
In January 2017, an amendment to the International Religious Freedom Act was signed into law with the goal of protecting nonreligious atheists, humanist, and others. How do you feel that this law could be utilized by University Chaplains to clarify why University Chaplaincies have an obligation for the welfare of students of all religious, secular, and spiritual affiliations?
Each presentation will be followed by a 40 minute open question and answer session.

A link to the pdf form of the finalist’s CV will be provided here within 24 hours of the visit. We ask that you utilize this CV for your own information during the visit and that you not disseminate it beyond our campus community. Even though each candidate is visiting with so many members of our community, we wouldn’t want to be the one to disclose their candidacy to someone on their home campus. Each candidate has some expectation that their information — and their candidacy — is only being shared within our campus community. I ask that you respect that expectation. We have an intensive referencing process ongoing and the referencing feedback will be shared with the search committee.
